appointments

I like some of President elect Obama choices for his cabinets positions. I love the Clinton and Richardson picks. I like how he is working with his former candidates for president. The democratic party must work together to get this country back in order. I can't wait to see who his picks for homeland security. I work for that department and can't wait for the pick.

election night

There were so many emotions that went through my body last nigth. I remember when I talked to my grandmother yesterday she was so hopeful and she couldn't believe she would ever see this day. I thought about all of the people who actually stood in line for hours so that they would be able to vote. Then I thought about all those people who were attacked when they tried to vote and it brought tears to my eyes. I will never forget this day and what it meant to this nation for minorities. Now there is no limitation on what a person can become.

Obama's 30 minute spot

I loved Obama's 30 minute spot on televsion last night. I'm a big Obama fan, I can't wait for him to win this election on Tuesday. I think the Mc Cain camp was upset because he didn't have that money for that television time. I know if they did they probably would have had a spot on television aswell. I could relate to everyone on those people. I felt like I knew those people in some way or another.

early voting and Palin's spending

I'm really happy that early voting is here. I tell people that I don't care who they vote for just as long as they vote. If they ask me for my opinion then I will give my opinion to them. I can't wait to vote in this election it will be my third time voting and hopefully the third time is the charm. I will be voting for Obama this week. Voting is so important to me as a person I never take my vote for granted because a lot of people had to endure a lot so I can cast my vote. Now about Sarah Palin's price of her wardrobe I don't really have a problem with it at all. I think the hockey mom's might have a problem with it but not me I think she looks nice.

the final debate

Last week I watched the final debate between the candidates McCain and Obama. I came away very impressed with the way Obama handled himself against McCain's attacks. McCain on the other hand had a real bad attitude during the debate. I think the reason that McCain was aggressive was because he is behind in the polls. In order for him to win this election I think he must distint himself for President Bush and so far he has not done that. I feel that Bush and the other republicans are to blame for the economy. We need a President who will help bring this encomy back the way it was before Bush was in office.

2nd Presidential debate

I watch the debate this week and I thought it was really boring. There was one lady in the audience who was falling asleep. The candidates were arguing with each other most of the time. One thing that got me upset was when McClain refer to Obama as "that one" I thought that was rude. McClain was out of line for that comment. I just don't trust McClain's on anything that has to do with the economy. I hope that the third debate will be better than this one.

Vice Presidential Debate

When I watched the vice presidential debate I was shocked how will Sarah Palin did. I thought that she really needed to have a strong performance after looking like a fool during the CBS interview she did. I can tell that she actually prepared hard for this debate. I kind of had a feeling that Biden who do ok but I was worried about Palin. I thought that both of the candidates did a good enough job to promote their running mate. I wish Palin would explain what is the Joe six pack because I don't know what or who they are. I wish she would drop that hockey mom speech.

contributions

When I was looking at the contributions list I notice a few things. The first thing that I notice was that the people in zip codes with mainly African Americans didn't contribute as much as other zip codes. I also was shocked to see how some of the professors contributed as well. My mother lives in a mainly Black neighborhood and not very many people contributed any money. I live in a mainly white neighborhood and a lot of people gave money the candidates. I think the reason this is happening is that some neighborhoods have more extra money then others.

Obama 's DNC speech

The speech that Obama gave at the DNC gave me chills. The reason that I got chills was the fact he was making history that night. I was so emotional because I was watching something that so many eldery Arfican-American had dreamed of. I know alot of them never thought that they would see that happen in their lifetime. I'm proud to say that I watched all four nights of the DNC. I also loved the speeches that Biden and Michelle Obama gave they brought the house down.
